Even with some recent cold days in Auckland this male Goldfinch decided to take a bath. Usually they form small flocks for garden visits to feed on the grass seed at this time of the year and into summer. Although I have seen large flocks of 50 in the countryside. A female goldfinch also visited the following day but didn't enter the pond.
